IPL 2020: Cricketers who are staying with their family in the UAE

With the Covid-19 protocols and the quarantine rules that are in place now for the IPL 2020, it gets quite tough for cricketers to stay away from their families. The IPL 2020 will be played for a little under two months’ time. After that, some of the cricketers will be busy with their national assignments. For instance, the Indian team will be touring Australia right after the IPL.

Spending such a long time away from families gets quite tough. Hence, some of the cricketers have travelled to the UAE along with their families. Along with the cricketers, their family members will also be in the bio-secure bubble throughout the tournament. Here are the cricketers who are staying with family in the UAE:

Indian captain and RCB skipper Virat Kohli is in the UAE along with his wife Anushka Sharma. After reaching the UAE, the 31-year-old took to social media to announce her pregnancy and informed that their child is due around January 2021. Thus, it is extremely important for him to be with his wife at such a crucial time. The couple also celebrated the news in the UAE along with the RCB teammates.

Mumbai Indians’ skipper Rohit Sharma has got a young family. His daughter, Samaira Sharma, is just over a year old. In IPL 2019, both his wife Ritika and Samaira were in the stands cheering for the classy batsman. While things will be different this time around, Rohit’s family is in UAE to support him off the field and cheer him through the good and bad times.
